Chin augmentation involves shaping the chin region of the face. Often, this procedure accompanies rhinoplasty (nose surgery) to create a balanced profile of the face. Dr. Harris creates facial symmetry and proportion through delicate changes. This may involve creating a stronger jaw line or balancing a subtle one.

The facelift operation elevates and re-drapes the facial skin and underlying musculature to eliminate laxity and sagging. The operation can be designed to correct problems in the neck, under the jaw and/or chin and in the cheeks. It is sometimes referred to as the cheek and neck lift. As individuals age, there is a change in the skin just as there are changes in all other parts of the body. Fatty tissue tends to decrease in volume and in density causing the skin to sag and hang loosely. There are also changes in the bony facial structure that, when combined with changes in muscular action and the effects of gravity, leads to more prominent skin folds. These changes are greatest under the chin, in the upper neck and at the skin folds near the corner of the mouth.
Facelift procedures are on the rise for both men and women. With new advancements in products and procedures, the plastic or pulled look of before is no longer a concern. The Center’s facelift patients tell us that their family and friends say they look like themselves: just more youthful, refreshed and vibrant! A facelift restores a more pleasing contour to your face and neck. It can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift and eyelid lift. The average facelift lasts ten to fifteen years, with follow-up procedures available to prolong this refreshed and rejuvenated appearance for many more.
If you are a woman or man whose face and neck have started to sag, you may be a good facelift candidate. Dr. Harris will assess your skin’s elasticity and determine the appropriate procedure. Facelifts have been successfully performed on patients from 40 to 80 years of age.

Depending on the type of scar, there are many options for scar revision. Non-surgical options may include topical creams to help with hyperpigmentation or injections to help flatten raised scars. As a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Harris has the ability to surgically remove a scar, closing the incision appropriately to reduce the likelihood of a future scar. During the consultation process, Dr. Harris will discuss your best option.

Earlobe repair is a simple procedure performed in our office to repair torn earlobes. Dr. Harris surgically reattaches the earlobe and, after the three-month healing period, can re-pierce the ear.

A heavy drooping brow can alter the way you look and feel. Eyebrow position is a key factor to facial rejuvenation.
A normal female brow starts next to the nose and gently arcs over the bony eye socket to reach a high point between the outermost color portion of your eye and the bony edge. A male's eyebrow arc is less pronounced and rides along the bony rim. When the brow is low, an unnatural appearance is seen. The patient looks tired and angry.
The extra weight causes a build up of skin and a droopiness of the upper eyelid. Surgical improvement refreshes the eyebrow/eye region. This surgery is often combined with eyelid lifts to create a complete rejuvenation of the upper face.
Together with a facelift, the entire face can be rejuvenated. Dynamic facial lines are often seen around the nose and on the forehead. Utilizing Botox® Cosmetic prior to the surgery will help erase these lines and prevent the underlying muscles from pulling the brow down after it is re-suspended during surgery.

Ear surgery, or otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. This is often performed on children after the age of four. However, many adults opt to have ear surgery to rectify life-long concerns and improve self-image.
In most cases, ear surgery will leave a faint scar in the back of the ear that will fade with time. Even when only one ear appears to protrude, surgery is usually performed on both ears for a better balance. Stitches are usually removed, or will dissolve, in about a week.
Any activity in which the ear might be bent should be avoided for a month or so. Most adults can go back to work about five days after surgery. Children can go back to school after seven days or so, if they're careful about playground activity.
Most patients, young and old alike, are thrilled with the results of ear surgery. Though no surgery can predict perfect symmetry, when you have discussed the procedure and your expectations with Dr. Harris before the operation, chances are you will be quite pleased with the result.
