Meditations with Dr. Monte Oyd Harris



Everywhere I turn, there’s a new book, magazine, news article, or symposium celebrating the health and well-being benefits of meditation.  With the constant distractions and stress of our daily lives, it appears everyone is looking for a path to greater happiness and peace of mind.

I recently came across an interview that I completed about a year or so  ago sharing my perspectives on the healing power of meditation.  My  Transcendental Meditation (TM) coach, Mario Orsatti who also serves  as the director of special programs for the David Lynch Foundation  asked me to comment on the role of meditation in the management of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  During our conversation, I talked openly and extensively about my evolving practice philosophy, PTSD, and the positive influence that meditation has had in my life.  A small clip of the interview was included in a video highlighting a David Lynch Foundation special program using TM to help war torn Ugandan refugees combat PTSD. 

My conversation highlights the holistic consciousness of my practice as a place for aligning beauty, health, and identity.  So I thought it would be good to share the entire interview as a series of short videos.  Think of them as fuel for your journey to joy!
